- Matched to a photo during the 2016 MLB playoffs in which Upton is seen using this bat in batting practice before a game. Orientation of the knob stamping, in conjunction with the blue paint transfer marks and scuffs on the barrel match the photo provided. Date of the photo is unknown, however from the patch on the side of Upton's hat, we can deduce that it was photographed before a game in the playoffs.
- Authenticated with MLB Holo sticker #JD182035. As a result of MLB authenticators not authenticating this item with direct first-hand evidence of its use, it is labelled as a "Team Issued Bat"
- Upton is an American former professional baseball player. He played in MLB for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays / Rays, Atlanta Braves, San Diego Padres, and Toronto Blue Jays
- Drafted 2nd overall in the 2002 MLB draft by Tampa Bay
- Louisville slugger Ash JR45 model dated 09/26/16 on knob
- With only 19 plate appearances after the manufactures date of this bat, it was likely used in the last at bats of Upton's career (12 of 19 of those plate appearances were in post season)
