  • Original artwork of Montreal Canadiens legend and HOFer Georges Vezina, painted by famous Canadian sports artist Carleton McDiarmid, with accompanying postcard
  • In 1983, The Hockey Hall Of Fame commissioned Carleton “Mac” McDiarmid to paint water colour portraits of the Hall’s members. The paintings were used by the Hall to create a 240 postcard set in 1983 featuring inducted members, with the cards being noteworthy due to the inclusion of a number of the game’s earliest stars.
  • Painting was acquired from the personal collection of McDiarmid, a notable hockey collector who often had corresponding players sign his original artwork.
  • Excellent condition; light crease in the bottom right corner of the matting as well as a small edge crease and knick along the top edge. Some material loss in the back left corner of the backboard, as well as a small crease in the top right corner of the backboard. Name is written in marker along the top edge on the back. Painting itself shows little to no notable handling wear.
  • Painting measurements: 16” x 21”
  • Postcard measurements: 4” x 6”
