Demons won the exhibition match 14.19 (103) to 13.12 (90) over the Cats. This tournament came shortly after Geelong lost to Hawthorn in the AFL Grand Final. Lineups include key players Gary Ablett Sr., Paul Couch, Neville Bruns for the Cats, as well as Jim Stynes and Greg Healy for the Demons
