- Lafleur is a former professional ice hockey player who played 17 seasons in the NHL
- He was a 5x Stanley Cup champion
- Made by Louis Garneau soon after his retirement in 1991
- Jersey sports four styles on the front, representing the three NHL teams of Lafleur's career, with the years for which he played for them (Montreal 1971-84, New York 1988-89, Quebec 1989-91) as well as Lafleur's facsimile autograph in the top right corner and "1984-88" representing his three season absence after his tenure with the Canadiens
- Louis Garneau sports, a bike manufacturer based out of Quebec City, offered this custom jersey as a limited edition mail-in order soon after Lafleur's retirement with an edition number out of 1000, but not all 1000 jerseys were ordered and consequently the edition size of this jersey is lower than 1000 but currently unknown
