- Richter was instrumental in shutting down Gretzky and Team Canada in the final series to win the tournament for USA. The inaugural edition of the World Cup of Hockey, replacing the Canada Cup.
- Gretzky won 9 Hart Trophies, 10 Art Ross Trophies, and 2 Conn Smythe Trophies. Winner of 4 Stanley Cups (1984, 1985, 1987 ,1988). Mostly known for his tenure with the Edmonton Oilers, Gretzky also played stints with the LA Kings, St. Louis Blues and New York Rangers. Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1999
- Richter is an American former professional ice hockey goaltender who played his entire National Hockey League career with the New York Rangers. Won the Stanley Cup in 1994. Named to the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame in 2008

- Excellent condition; stick displays some minor nicks and scratches. Some black ink on reverse side of upper shaft. Autographs present well with no smudging, bleeding or fading but some very minor transfer loss visible on the autographs
