- Circa 1930 Lionel Conacher Endorsed Spalding Hockey Gloves
- Pair of seldom-seen hockey gloves manufactured by Spalding circa 1930 when "The Big Train", Lionel Conacher was forging his legend as one of the greatest all-around athletes of his era, winning Canada's Athlete of the Half Century Award (1900-1950)
- A big 6.2" defenceman, he made his NHL debut with Pittsburgh in 1925-26, spent the rest of the 1920s with the New York Americans and most of the 1930s with the Montreal Maroons
- His image is on a tag with “Equipment Approved by Lionel Conacher” the red and cream-colored labels are on the cuffs of each of these all-leather gloves
- His facsimile autograph in silver displays nicely on each glove.
- A Spalding Hockey Equipment manufacturers tag is also on the right hand gloves
- This tag is missing from the left glove. The palms and fingers are intact with no holes and display general game wear. The wrist guards display some nicks and scrapes. There is some minor thread fraying on the left Conacher tag and the right index finger
- Overall excellent condition; gloves are in amazing condition considering their age.
