- Dave Stewart was a dominant MLB pitcher best known for the Oakland Athletics, also playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Texas Rangers, Toronto Blue Jays, Philadelphia Phillies, and San Diego Padres. A three-time World Series champion (1981 Dodgers; 1989, 1990 Athletics), Stewart won 20+ games four straight seasons (1987–1990), earned ALCS MVP honours in 1989, was a two-time All-Star, and later served as an MLB executive and front-office executive with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
