- In 1888 Stanley was appointed Governor General and took on the title Lord Stanley
- Also includes photocopy of a note written by Lord Stanley while Govenor of Canada
- Photo 5” x 6.5”
- Note approx. 6.75” x 4.25”
- Excellent condition; photo displays beautifully with no creases but does have some minor paper material loss in the bottom corner and some minor edge wear. There is some paper material loss and residue on the back from the photo having been mounted in a scrapbook. The note displays well with a notable crease from having been folded and some faint spots of discoloration
