He took this book to many NHL games and secured numerous signatures of NHL players. Most of the autographs in the book were secured during the 1936\/1937 NHL season with a few others collected into the early 1940s. The ability to collect the signatures was facilitated by a friendship Mr. Deas had with Maple Leaf Gardens official scorer Bill Graham Jr. The autograph book had been stored away by the family over the last 80 years.
