- Richard Byrd was an American naval officer, a pioneer in the field of aviation, polar explorer, and organizer of polar logistics. His expeditions ultimately led to him discovering Mount Sidley, the largest dormant volcano in Antarctica. He also claims to be the first to reach the North and South Poles by air, although this was later disputed
- Great Condition: slabbed and authenticated by PSA. Cheque has a visible crease and general handling wear. Autograph presents very well, graded NM-MT 8 by PSA.
