- Multi-talented, performing at a high level in a number of sports, Lionel Conacher was named Canada's top athlete for the first half of the 20th century due to his participation in football, baseball, wrestling, boxing and of course, hockey. This lot contains a photo that's been signed by "The Big Train". Conacher is pictured in the early-1930's on-ice in his Montreal Maroons uniform. Shuttered by renowned photographer Rice, Lionel has boldly signed to the right of his image "With Kindest Regards to Ken + Mabel", signing as "Connie", along with a date of Jan 20th 1932.
- Great condition; minor edgewear throughout including a very small tear on the left edge and a few light creases. Autograph and inscription present well with no smudging, bleeding or fading. Some writing in pencil on the back along the top
