- The Royals were a minor league professional baseball team in Montreal, Quebec during 1897-1917 and 1928-1960
- The Royals were the top farm club (Class AAA) of the Brooklyn Dodgers from 1939
- In 1935 The Royals finished first in the International League with a record 92-62, and they were crowned regular season Champions. They finished runner-up for the Governors Cup, losing the final series to Syracuse 4-2
- Manager Frank Shaughnessy, who is pictured in the middle row, would go on to become the League President
- The members are all pictured in a traditional team photo, with Dow Ale and stout bottles pictured on either side
