- Autograph of legendary Hockey Night in Canada broadcaster Foster Hewitt
- Carefully removed from an autograph album where it was signed during the 1930s
- Signed with the inscription "He shoots, he scores!" - a phrase he popularized, and "Radio - Maple Leaf Gardens"
- Hewitt was Canada's premier hockey broadcaster for 40 years, spending decades on CBC's Hockey Night in Canada broadcasts on both radio and television, first as play by play man, and then as the color commentator for his son, Bill
- Came out of retirement in 1972 to call the Canada-Russia Summit Series
- Such an influential broadcaster that he participated in the 1931 opening ceremonies of the Maple Leaf Gardens, and provided input for the design of the broadcasting "gondola" from which he would work
- The Foster Hewitt Memorial Award is awarded to to outstanding hockey broadcasters by the NHL Broadcasters Association, and its winners are displayed at the Hockey Hall of Fame as "media honorees," though Hewitt himself is the only winner to be inducted into the Hall on his own right
- A 1965 inductee into the Hockey Hall of Fame as a builder, and a 1972 Officer of the Order of Canada, Hewitt passed away in 1985 at the age of 82 at his Scarborough, Ontario nursing home
- Autograph is in excellent shape with no smudging or bleeding. Page is in great condition with some light surface creasing but was removed carefully from the original album book with no rips or tears. Very small stain spot near the top left corner

- The signatures in this listing came from an autograph book owned by Donald Deas. He took this book to many NHL games and secured numerous signatures of NHL players. Most of the autographs in the book were secured during the 1936/1937 NHL season with a few others collected into the early 1940s. The ability to collect the signatures was facilitated by a friendship Mr. Deas had with Maple Leaf Gardens official scorer Bill Graham Jr. The autograph book had been stored away by the family over the last 80 years.
