  • August 15, 1936 USA vs. British Empire track meet program from White City Stadium in London in which Jesse Owens ran his final official track and field meet
  • Owens ran the 3rd leg of the 4 X 100 meter event, won by the U.S.A. After this, he refused to go to Stockholm for a meet (which he did not agree to compete in), and was banned from amateur competition by Avery Brundage of the A.A.U. (Owens was re-instated in 1984 because he wasn't accorded due process.)
  • After winning gold medal number 4 on Aug. 9 at the Olympics, he ran in Cologne on Aug. 10. He ran in Prague on Aug. 11 and Bochum, Germany on Aug. 12. He arrived in Croydon on the 13th and then ran at White City on the 15th. He was exhausted, and wanted to go home and see his wife, and thus this was his final official track meet.
  • Program is signed on page 31 by Canadian hurdler and Olympic Hall of Famer Jim Worrall
  • Hockey Hall of Famer Syl Apps participates in the pole vault for the British Empire
  • 5.5 x 8.5"
