- All five games went into OT in the series, and the Maple Leafs beat the Montreal Canadiens four games to one.
- Harry Watson is best known for his tenure with the Leafs, but also played for the Brooklyn Americans, Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Black Hawks. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1994
- Cal Gardner spent time with various teams, including the Leafs, Blackhawks, Boston Bruins and New York Rangers.
