  • 1954 Ed Litzenberger Trade Agreement Letter
  • Letter is dated December 19, 1954, finalizing the sale agreement of Eddie Litzenberger from the Montreal Canadiens to the Chicago Blackhawks. The letter is signed by both the Canadiens' general manager Frank Selke and Black Hawk's manager Tommy Ivan
  • Dimensions: 8.25" x 11"
  • Litzenberger was a Canadian ice hockey right winger from Neudorf, Saskatchewan. Litzenberger was "donated" to the Chicago Black Hawks by the Montreal Canadiens in his first year in the National Hockey League (NHL). At the time the Black Hawks were struggling to survive as a franchise, and the league governors decided to help the team remain viable. He would go on to captain the Blackhawk's 1960/61 Stanley Cup championship team, and would win 3 more with the Toronto Maple Leafs
