- Murray Balfour died of lung cancer before the end of the 1964-65 season. He was just 28 years old.

- Topps hockey cards at the time were made in conjunction with O-Pee-Chee
- Good condition; notably off-centre and slightly crooked with a few light but visible creases across the image. Light corner creasing and edgewear throughout. Listed condition is not a professional grading.
