- A native of Sydney, Nova Scotia, MacNeil was the first native of Atlantic Canada to serve as Head Coach of an NHL team
- Won Stanley Cup as Head Coach of the Montreal Canadiens in 1971
- Also coached the Atlanta and Calgary Flames
- Also played for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Montreal Canadiens, New York Rangers, and Pittsburgh Penguins
- Topps hockey cards at the time were made in conjunction with O-Pee-Chee
- Fair condition; slightly off-centre with a light crease in the top left corner as well as what appears to be glue damage at the top including some small surface paper loss. Minor edgewear throughout. Listed condition is not a professional grading.
