- 1939 Hart Trophy winner as NHL MVP as a player
- Winner of two Stanley Cups with the Canadiens as a player before winning eight in just 13 years as Head Coach
- Also won 1935 Stanley Cup with the Montreal Maroons
- Canadiens win first of back to back Stanley Cups, and first in a series of four in five years
- Toe Blake was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1966, and died in 1995 at the age of 82
- Topps hockey cards at the time were made in conjunction with O-Pee-Chee
- Great condition; notably off-centre with some very light creasing in bottom right and top left corners. Some minor scratching throughout as well as minimal handling wear along the edges. Listed condition is not a professional grading.
