  • John Brian Patrick Quinn was a Canadian ice hockey player, head coach, and executive. Known by the nickname "The Big Irishman," he coached for the National Hockey League's Philadelphia Flyers, Los Angeles Kings, Vancouver Canucks, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Edmonton Oilers, reaching the Stanley Cup Finals twice. Prior to coaching, Quinn was an NHL defenceman, having played nine seasons in the league with the Maple Leafs, Canucks and Atlanta Flames. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2016
