- Jim Bunning was a Hall of Fame MLB pitcher best known for the Detroit Tigers and Philadelphia Phillies, also playing for the New York Yankees and Pittsburgh Pirates. A nine-time All-Star, three-time ERA leader, and the pitcher of a perfect game (1964) and a no-hitter in both leagues, he was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1996 and later served as a U.S. Senator from Kentucky.
