The building was originally constructed in 1931 as an indoor arena to host ice hockey games. It was home to the Toronto Huskies, Toronto Maple Leafs, and countless other organizations, while featuring musical artists like Elvis Presley, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Frank Sinatra, and many others
