- George Herman "Babe" Ruth was an American professional baseball player, who spent the majority of his career with the New York Yankees. From 1914 - 1919, he played with the Boston Red Sox, and emerged as one of the MLB's brightest stars, winning 3 World Series in four years in Boston. Although, he is most widely regarded for his time in New York, where he won 4 World Series, was American League MVP, led the AL in home runs 10 times, and has countless other achievements. Rightfully so, Babe Ruth was one of the first five people to be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936
