With a chance to clinch the series at the SkyDome, in front of a crowd of 52,268, the Blue Jays lost 7 - 2. Despite the game being close, a grand slam home run by Lonnie Smith sealed the game. Ultimately the Blue Jays did win game 6, their first World Series win
