The Toronto Blue Jays bested the Philadelphia Phillies in 6 games to win back-to-back championships, the first time in 15 years. The series has gone down in history as, in game 6, the Blue Jays were down 6-5 in the bottom of the 9th inning when Joe Carter stepped up to bat with runners on first and second. He hit a 3 run home run, and became a legend in Toronto sports history
