- Syracuse Chiefs changed their name to the Sky Chiefs in 1997 until 2006 when they changed it back to the Syracuse Chiefs (unitl 2019, when they changed their name again to the Syracuse Mets)
- They were the AAA affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays for the entirety of thier Sky Chiefs era
