- Star Running back for the Saskatchewan Roughriders through 1963-1967, Buchanan would win a Grey Cup with the team in 1966 and be inducted to Saskatchewan's Plaza of Honour in 2012
- Letter of Authenticity included provided by a close family friend of Buchanan who personally gave him the helmet and cleats
- Helmet and cleats are in good condition; Helmet displays clear signs of game use. While the inside padding is intact the helmet is missing its facemask. The cleats display clear signs of game use as well. The autograph on the left shoe has partially worn off.
