- Content in the letter includes "in regards to my ankle it sure got a bad break... it looks curtains for me as far as hockey is concerned"
- Authenticated with provenance: letter of authenticity from James Spence Authentication (JSA) and Classic Auctions
- Included is the original envelope letter was mailed in
- Letter was written in black steel-tip fountain pen
- Both pages are in great condition; horizontal and vertical folding creases, with minimal edge and cornerwear. Content is legible with very little smudging and only minor soiling visible on the first page of the letter. Overall preserved very well considering its age, with no rips or tears, or notable residual creasing.
Envelope has been torn and flattened with significant wear along the edges as well as a few small rips. Faint writing is notable on the back panel and some light soiling is visible throughout
