- The 1994 NFC Championship saw Aikman's Dallas Cowboys beat Steve Young's San Francisco 49ers 38-21 to move onto the Super Bowl. In the third quarter, Aikman sustained a game-ending concussion. He would return to play weeks later in Super Bowl XXVIII where the Cowboys would defeat the Buffalo Bills for the second straight year.
