- Vintage Imperial Roman coin of Gallienus who ruled from 253 A.D. - 268 A.D.
- Gallienus and his father, Valerian, ruled Rome jointly for six years. After Valerian's defeat, capture, and murder, Gallienus continued to rule on his own for eight more years
- His reign was marked with constant fighting with Persians and Goths, as well as the forces of the rebel Postumus
- In the final year of his rule (and his life), Gallienus's soldiers won what proved to be the bloodies battle of the century at Naissus. Gallienus himself was murdered by his senior staff officers in 268
