- Lionel Conacher served as player and Head Coach. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1994, and died in 1954 at 54 years old
- Goaltender Roy Worters was the shortest player in NHL history at 5'3". He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1969, and died in 1957 at 57 years old
- Billy Burch was a former Hart Trophy winner as NHL MVP. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1974, and died in 1950 at 50 years old
- "Bullet" Joe Simpson went on become the Americans Head Coach for three seasons. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1963, and died in 1973 at the age of 80
